THE FIELD
GUIDE.
Know the rules. Know the limits.
Know what happens next.
Start with one clear hypothesis.
The Quant is a quantitative strategy terminal for Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain. It combines supported rule sets, modeled backtests, server-managed paper trading, and AI assistance in one workspace.
- Open the terminal. Select a Stock Token and a timeframe.
- Connect your wallet. Sign the login message to access your own strategy workspace. A login signature is separate from a funding or trading transaction.
- Choose the rules. Pick a supported strategy, or use the configured AI builder to prepare a draft.
- Set the limits. Review capital, position allocation, loss pause threshold, and modeled slippage.
- Test, inspect, then activate. Run a backtest with available history. Review the trades before starting a paper strategy.
Three rules. No hidden interpretation.
Strategies evaluate completed candles. The actual configuration and decision evidence remain visible in the terminal.
| Rule set | Entry | Exit |
|---|---|---|
| Trend following | MA 9 crosses above MA 21. | MA 9 crosses below MA 21. |
| Mean reversion | Close is more than 1.2 standard deviations below the 20-bar mean. | Close returns to or above the 20-bar mean. |
| Momentum breakout | Close exceeds the prior 16-bar high. | Close falls below the prior 8-bar low. |
The strategy timeframe can be 15 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours, or 1 day. A signal is not a guarantee that a live order can fill at the modeled price.
The configured allocation limits the share of strategy capital used for a position. A loss pause threshold stops new entries when its equity condition is met; it does not guarantee a maximum realized loss.
The assumptions are part of the result.
A backtest models what the rule would have done over available historical reference data. It is a simulation, not a record of executable Stock Token trades.
- Signal timing
- The signal uses a completed candle. A modeled order fills at the next bar opening.
- Trading costs
- The model charges 0.15% per fill, plus the configured slippage. Gas and final liquidation costs are excluded.
- Quant vs Hold
- The comparison uses equal starting capital. Inspect the full trade sequence and costs alongside the performance curve.
- Historical basis
- History may use issuer reference observations or underlying-equity market data. It is not DEX fill history.
- Data sufficiency
- The application needs enough completed and continuous candles. Missing history is reported rather than replaced with generated prices.
Trade Replay becomes available after a backtest with completed modeled trades. It shows the signal, entry, and exit in sequence. The landing page walkthrough is labeled as an illustration and does not present market results.
Past or modeled performance does not forecast future returns.
A draft, not an autopilot.
The AI Strategy Builder turns natural language into a supported configuration. The server validates that configuration against the application's schema. You review and activate it yourself.
Ask a Strategy explains decisions belonging to the connected wallet, using actual strategy evidence IDs. It is not an unrestricted market-prediction service.
Both AI tools require a configured server-side provider. Without one, the application explicitly reports that AI is unavailable. API credentials are not sent to the frontend.
Test the process with simulated capital.
Paper trading follows reference market quotes and the chosen deterministic rules. Its balances and fills are simulated. The server reserves the allocated paper capital and evaluates active strategies in a worker.
The worker continues when you close the browser, provided the backend is running. Pause entries, resume a strategy, close it, and inspect its activity from your own wallet workspace.
Paper results do not establish live execution quality. Real liquidity, gas costs, venue constraints, stale feeds, and failed transactions may produce different outcomes.
You remain the decision-maker.
Wallet login creates an authenticated application session. Live vault creation, approval, deposit, permission renewal, revocation, and withdrawal are separate actions that require owner review and wallet signatures.
The supplied live architecture uses a separate vault for each strategy. The owner controls withdrawals. The keeper's policy limits its trading permissions and expires after seven days unless the owner renews it.
- Review a live draft and its policy before creating a vault.
- Funding is a separate step after vault creation.
- Pause entries or revoke keeper permissions from owner controls.
- Withdraw available USDG or Stock Tokens to the owner wallet.
Factory deployment, verified market routes, suitable oracle feeds, real venue integration, and further verification remain outstanding. The contracts have not received an independent audit. This release does not establish readiness for public funds.
Reference prices have a specific meaning.
The terminal obtains issuer reference quotes and builds history from supported data sources. If configured, provider history can be backfilled. Underlying-equity data is different from the price at which a Stock Token order can fill on a DEX.
Stock Tokens are issuer instruments providing economic exposure. They are not direct ownership of the underlying company. Eligibility and availability depend on issuer terms and jurisdiction.
The Quant is an independent project. It does not operate Robinhood's brokerage, issue the Stock Tokens, or provide an order book.
What is built. What needs setup.
The hosted design preview serves the frontend only. Its terminal reports a disconnected API. The complete source package includes the Express API, PostgreSQL migrations, worker, contracts, and deployment instructions for a full installation.
A few things worth clearing up.
Does AI trade for me automatically?
No. AI produces a supported configuration draft or an evidence-based explanation. Strategy activation remains your action.
Why does the terminal show no market history?
The collector needs completed candles, or a supported historical-data provider must be configured. In the static design preview, the application API is not connected at all.
Can I use live execution now?
Live execution remains disabled by default. The deployment, routes, oracle feeds, venue integration and real-fund behavior have not been fully verified.
Does connecting a wallet move funds?
Connecting and signing the login message authenticates your workspace. Funding and vault transactions are separate wallet actions requiring review.
Is The Quant affiliated with Robinhood?
No. It is an independent project built for the Robinhood Chain ecosystem.
How does the 3D sculpture work?
The seated voxel artisan uses original body, clothing, hands and pose geometry. Its facial surface adapts the Infinite 3D head scan by Lee Perry-Smith / Infinite Realities under CC BY 3.0. The face is cropped, voxelized and recolored. A Canvas 2D renderer projects the sculpture in three dimensions, with drag rotation, lighting, and different process poses.
